Stephan's Quintet Galaxies | Hubble & JWST Mug
Group of 5 galaxies, The Stephan’s Quintet. This is a composite image constructed from around 1000 images taken in the near-infrared (NIRCam) and mid-infrared (MIRI) data with the JWST - James Webb Space Telescope combined with X-rays collected by NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory. These galaxies with bright white cores are colliding, stretching and pulling on each other with their gravitational forces.
